Fred Durst，是Jacksonville地區一名小有名氣的紋身師，
1995年，當時著名的樂隊Korn正在Jacksonville地區做巡迴演唱會，而這支樂隊的貝斯手Fieldy想要做紋身，他到了一家紋身小店，而這家紋身店的主人正是Fred Durst，結果由於出色的紋身手藝使兩個人成了朋友，當Fieldy聽到Fred Durst給他的LimpBizkit自己錄制的磁帶的時候，Fieldy被打動了，他把這盤磁帶交給了他們的製作人Ross Robinson，在Ross Robinson的大力引薦和幫助之下，Limp Bizkit終於順利的和Interscope唱片公司簽約.
巡演中，Fred Durst又因為多次和巡演合作者發生沖突，而再次引起了人們廣泛的爭議。自從這之後，Fred Durst就被認為是美國音樂界最大嘴，最沒事找事的人之一
